Day 8: Midway & Mission Beach

I really wanted to go to the midway museum but I couldn't see paying $17 for it. A couple days before we went my dad said that he would take us. It was super cool. When I got home I found out that David Whipple lived on the Midway in Japan. Mom walking through the bottom floor of the tour. Isn't she cute.

Jacob and I on the tour. We listened to the little wanna be ipods and there was info about the different parts of the ship.

Jacob taking a little snooze on one of the bunks.

We were so bad we got put in the brig. Luckily they let us out to finish the tour.
Mom waiting in line for some plastic food. We actually got to talk to a head cook that use to be in charge of the kitchen.

Jacob obviously loved hiking up the thousands of steps we had to.

Me not so much. David Whipple said they had to run up these steps. I have no idea how they did it, unless they had really small feet.

While we were in the bridge I was trying to find out where we go, but no luck. Good thing I am not in the navy.

Mom and I on a helicopter. I would have never made it in the military. These benches or cots were so uncomfortable.
Jacob and I on the flight deck of the midway.
Mom looking cute as can be on the boardwalk. The beach was beautiful.

The Lifeguard vehicles. I thought about taking off with one.

I felt like I was in the middle of Baywatch. Lifeguards that thought they were the hottest thing since sliced bread.

My super huge snow cone. It was so tasty. Mom, Jacob and I couldn't finish it all.

Looks like lots of fun! Glad you were able to get away for a little vacation before you have your big move. Hope your sunburn is much better.

So you drove through CA and didn't call me???? I'm so sad! You went right past me! Are you back home now? I guess I deserve it for driving through Oregon so many times and not calling. We really need to get together. When are you moving?
