Our new ride

Jacob and I had been without a car for almost a year when we found our 1998 Chevy Lumina in October.  We were able to get it for $700.00 and it seemed like a great deal at the time because it was running great.  Well not long after the car would not start every one and awhile.  Then it finally dies and so we had t get it fixed.  $300 later we had a "new" fuel pump that made so much noise we always had to have the radio on.  Just recently it started not starting again and now they think it is the starter.  Also, the heater works but only on defrost, so in negative weather it is very cold.  Needless to say it was time to look for a new car because I work about 10 miles out of town and need a way to get to school.  We don't have the best credit right now so I thought it was a lost cause.  One night Jacob asked me if he could call around and see if we could get qualified for a loan somewhere.  Is aid sure, because I knew it was not going to happen.  Well when I woke up from my nap he had gotten us qualified and had 5  cars we could look at.  When we got to the dealership they had a 2011 Chevy Impala that they thought would be perfect.  Well, after driving it we realized it was.  We had rented one before and really liked it.  We decided to buy the car that night, Last Friday.
Jacob right before we went to sign the papers for the car.  He is super excited if you couldn't tell.

Me, excited but nervous.

They had just gotten the car in and had not detailed it yet or anything.  Plus we do not have a checking account so we had to figure something else out for the down payment.  So we had to leave the car there for a few days.  Which worked out because we were able to use the gas in our old car before we turned it in.

We went back today to pay the down payment and pick up the car.  I was so nervous to drive it home because it is so new.

Me driving home on the freeway. We got the car in Idaho Falls which is about 30 minutes from Rexburg.

Loving it!!!!!

I sure do love us

So shiny.  It is a really pretty silver color.

We love our new purchase and are very excited for all of the adventures we will take in it.   We can't wait to get it paid off though.

New news about Rexburg

Jacob is now moving at the same time as me, so that is a plus. School is starting earlier than I thought so we are now moving on the 2nd of January. The good news is my parents are going to be able to stay with us for a few days before they go into the MTC. Not much else new. Just excited for our new adventure.

Time to break the news!

While I move back here......

Jacob is going to still be living here........
The first thing my loving mother-in-law said was, "are you guys having marriage problems?" The answer to that is a huge, "No"! Things are perfect, I just need to finish up school and the new generals at BYU-I don't transfer anywhere, even BYU. So I am going to go back and attends winter semester. Jacob is going to stay here and continue to work and try to sell our contract for our apartment. So he will be joining me either in April or August at the latest. The good thing is that Rexburg is only 4 hours from Sandy and so we will be able to visit each other often. I was going to leave January 1st, but since my parents are going on their mission on January 4th I am going to wait so we can spend some time with them. I will keep you updated on all the goings on. Hopefully someday I will get a camera and I can put real pictures.

The 4th of July!!!!!!!!

We started off the 4th of July by waking up late and having 15 minutes to find the race on our bike's, and we had no idea where it was. We knew it was a the nature park but it was a mystery where it was at.
Jacob and I right before the start of the race. We forgot our camera so I had a random guy take a picture of us on our cell phone.
My hot hubby.
I was already sweating before I had even started. I really like the shirts we got though. They are real racing shirts not just white cotton ones. That is really the only thing I liked about the race. It started on a golf course so for about 2 miles we were on uneven grass. When we got to the finish they were so unorganized. They said they would have our times up online that day and they just got them up today. Then when I looked at my time it said that the last 15 racers came in at the exact same time. That is a bunch of crap. There were at least 10 people that came in after us. With the time they have right now it was our slowest race but I thought we did better. I think I am going to email them and complain. If you pay to be timed it should be timed right.
On our way to Winco Cami our next door neighbor's daughter fell asleep on Jacob, I thought it was precious.
I have lost 20 pounds and now fit in a smaller size shirt.
Eli and I our neighbor's little boy. He is so fun.
Erin Eli's sister. We have so much fun. I am going to be so sad when they move to Utah at the end of the month.
Gunner loves Jacob. During the fireworks he would have rather been with Jacob. Jacob was playing transformers on my phone and Gunner loved it.
So sweet
He is going to be such a good Dad.

Sokimna and Rico with their sparklers. We love there family. Jacob worked with Rico at Lexington, and Sokimna and I hung out a lot outside while Erin and Eli played.
Eli and Sokimna doing the popits. I am not sure if that is what they are called, but they are the things you throw at the ground.
Cute little Jack, Jack is Gunner's little brother.
Another good picture of Erin

Moving in horrible! Why are we doing it again?

So we started moving stuff into our new apartment this weekend. They still had to clean the carpet so we could just move in stuff that fit in the closets and on the shelves. Any who, Jacob and I spent most of the weekend packing and moving. On Monday the landlord said we should be able to move in on Tuesday because the carpet should be dry. Anyway, she called this morning and she said that the maintenance guys made a mistake and took out the carpet, so now they have to re-paint and re-carpet. So she said we could move into one of the two bedroom flats. So we went to go look at it and we decided that we would take the flat instead of having to wait for the townhouse. We packed up our stuff in the town house to take it over to the flat and the manager called to tell us the school had already rented out the flat. So now we are waiting for the apartment to be finished with most of our belongings in our storage. It has been a crazy couple of days. Hopefully by the end of the week we will be ion our new apartment. It is super nice and will be perfect for us. It is also super close to the school.

This is the downstairs floor plan. It is more square footage than the flat but the flat has a bigger kitchen and master bedroom. The townhouse has 1.5bath so that is exciting.

This is the floor plan of the upstairs. Not to much to it. Right at the top of the stairs there is a empty closet that we will be able to stack boxes in and so we are going to be able to get rid of our storage. We are super excited because this apartment is going to save us tons of money. They pay for electricity, phone, cable and Internet. We are getting rid of one of our cell phones and our storage so we are going to have a bunch less bills.

This is the master bedroom and our awesome closet. I don't have any idea what we are going to put on the shelves. We don't have enough belongings.
This is a view from the spare bedroom of the upstairs hallway, with the bathroom on the right and the master bedroom straight ahead.

This is a view of the living room. Our pantry is right next to the cubby (sp) under the stairs. Then our kitchen and dining room is to the left of that.

This is a view from the dining room of the kitchen. I am excited to have a dining room because in the apartment we are in right now the living room, dining room, and kitchen are all connected.
Our Small kitchen. I like it but I liked the one in the flat a lot more because it was open and has lots of space.

This is in our dining room. I am really glad that the washer and dry we will not be close to the living room like it is in our apartment now. I am excited to have a bathroom downstairs too. It will be nice when people come over, I won't always have to stress.

Anyway, once we get moved in and decorate the house I will take pictures and post it. I just told Jacob yesterday we never took pictures of the place we are in now. Maybe we will have to do that before we leave. Wish us luck so we will be moved in before school starts on Monday.

Gotta love when it is 17 degrees and sunny. Kinda gives you a false sense that it is going to be warm outside!

We have had a great week!

We love Rexburg so far, and I am sure it is only going to get better. I love BYU-I, and we love our ward. I actually like the snow, which is good because it snows a lot. They had a good snow on Christmas, and when we got here on New Years there was some still left. A couple days before school started it snowed again.

This is a picture out our front window of the snow. Rexburg is so pretty with all of the snow.
Heading to school on the first day! I know I am cute, so you don't have to tell me. The second day at school on the way in, I turned around to tell Jacob to meet me for lunch and wasn't paying attention and fell because I slipped on ice. It was pretty embarrassing.

Jacob and I drove to Idaho falls to go out to dinner to celebrate him getting a great Job, we also got to dress up. We went to TGI Friday's. It is the first time I have been there and it was super good. Jacob got a job at Lexington Law.
Now you may think this is stupid, but I just had to post about how much Hot Chocolate we go through. We make at least one batch a day sometimes two. (one batch is two mugs).

So I just have to tell you how amazing my wonderful husband is. He went out with someone from the ward to collect fast offerings. So I was picking up the house before the relief society presidency, elders quorum presidency and the ward missionary came over (ya, it was a busy Sunday). Anyway back to my story, I heard someone shoveling the walkway and so I peeked through the blinds to see who was doing it. To my surprise it was Jacob, I was so proud of him because it isn't our week to do it. I told him he was sweet and he said he did it because tomorrow when it freezes he didn't want me to slip (or anyone else but mostly me). I have such a great husband.

This is how we roll!

We made it to Rexburg just fine. The snow stayed on the side of the road which is how we like it. The drive was long but Jacob and I had a ton of fun together. We were welcomed to Rexburg by the beautiful temple up on the hill.
This is how we slept our first two days here, that is until we get our bed today. It's o.k. I know you wish you guys could sleep on the ground too!
