Our 6th Anniversary

This post is way overdue.  I was looking through my posts and I found like ten that I have not published yet.  Anywho, on the 17th of January Jacob and I celebrated our 6th anniversary.  It was a very laid back day since I had to work at the school.  Jacob had the day off and so I was excited to go home and see him.  We just hung out at home because we were scheduled  to celebrate the weekend after in Yellowstone (more about this later).

I am lucky to be married to Jacob for eternity. He is an amazing man and loves me more than anything.  We have been through the good and the bad.  I am so glad the good outweighs the bad.

Here we are at our reception.  For those of you that remember we were not married yet.  We got married three days later in Reno.
I really love this picture of us.  I don't know what we were laughing at but it is perfect.

This picture is from our first Christmas married.  I love this picture and we have yet to take another creative Christmas picture.
On our second anniversary Jacob made an appointment for my to get my hair and nails done.  He rented a nice car, took me to Ambrosia and then we stayed in a nice hotel.  It was so much fun.
For our 3rd anniversary we went to Yellowstone.  We had only been in Rexburg for a little while and we realized that Yellowstone is only an hour away.  It was so fun.  We went snowshoeing and snowmobiling.  Loved it.
During our fourth year of marriage we took a road trip home to Oregon and had such a great time.  In the way there we stopped by Multnomah Falls and had a great hike and a great rest from such a long trip.

This was taken this last July at my college graduation.  Our 5th ear of marriage was full of changes and we can't wait to see what a 6th year will bring.

Our anniversary

For our anniversary this year we decided to rent a car and stay at my parents time share in Yellowstone. We were so exited and it was a nice break from school. Plus our anniversary always falls on a 3 day weekend and so it is perfect.
We were going to just grab a quick bite to eat at McDonald's the night we got there but we walked in and their meals were $10.00. I was not going to pay that much for McDonald's. We drove around town to find something good and reasonable and ended up stopping at the Gusher. It is a Pizza/Burger place. It was so good. We ate there for less than McDonald's too. I was craving ice cream so we went to the store but ice cream was $8 for a half gallon. We were so glad we brought the food with us for the weekend, We saved so much money.
Here is a pic of Jacob at our room. The resort was so nice. The only downfall was that Yellowstone didn't have as much snow as normal but it was still all over the place.
This is the lobby of the hotel. The whole resort was a cabin look. It was so so nice.

Here I am on the other side of the stairway.
Jacob geared up and ready to snowshoe. We went on a free snowshoeing tour through Yellowstone. It was super fun and we l;earned a lot about the park. During the winter the only way you can go into Yellowstone is with a guide.
Me
This is where we turned around. It was so pretty. Mt. Madison is in the background. Jacob thought our niece Madison would like that.
Showing off our gear we rented at BYU-I and saved 75% from renting it at Yellowstone for one day and we got it for 4 days.
Jacob, I and our guide the Ranger.
On Sunday we went snowmobiling and it was so much fun. We went in the Targhee National Forest which is right next to Yellowstone because a snowmobile with a guide was $200 more than just a snowmobile. Here is Jacob at the first spot we stopped.
Handsome and rugged
This is one of the trails. We came down the hill, so Jacob wanted to get a picture of it.
4 Years together. Time has gone by so fast.
I thought this was really pretty
We stopped along the trail at a restaurant in Big Island and it was so good. We met some locals that had us follow them to a faster way to two top. They were super nice and they were crazy on their snowmobiles. Jacob wanted to do the same stuff they were doing but he knew I would kill him.
Jacob o two top being dangerous. I got off so he could do whatever he wanted.
We were almost home and the snow was perfect and so I decided to make a snow angel. I had my helmet on and so I couldn't get up. It was so funny. Jacob told me I needed to start moving or people would start to think I was hurt.
