Jacob's Surgery

May 17 a week before school ended for the year Jacob went in for surgery. He had some work done on the turbinides in his nose and had his tonsils removed.
Jacob right when he got changed ready for the surgery.
I was really bored.  Can you tell?

About to go in.  He could not see anything.
Soon after he came out.  He was drugged up.  The first thing he asked for was his glasses.
All the blood in his mouth grossed me out. I almost passed out.  They had to get me something to drink and they had me sit down.
I knew he was feeling better when he asked for the iPad.  I was glad I had it because it kept me busy during the 4 hours I waited for Jacob.
The doctor said that some people eat right after surgery and some have to wait weeks.. I guess Jacob is the kind that can eat right after.  He got a cheeseburger, fries and chicken strips.  He shared half of them with me.  The hospital has some dang good food.
A few days after his surgery we had to take him to the ER for pain and breathing.  We were there for about 5 hours.  Luckily the cafeteria had such good food so I was alright.  It made for a really long week.
A week later we went to Applebee's and shared a burger thanks to a get well gift card Jacob got in the mail.  He was excited to get out and eat good food. He is back to normal now and sleeping much better since the surgery.

Mesa Falls Date Night

It has been a struggle living here for over 3 years and not having a car most of that time. we have heard about the fun sites to visit close to the Burg but have not been to many of them.   We went to Yellowstone for the first time this October and this last Wednesday we drove to Mesa Falls.  We left right after my ENT appointment and the doctor thought the road might be closed.  We did not know who to call so we took our chances and drove there anyway.  So glad we did because we had such a good time.
I was a little bored so I took a lot of pictures of myself.  Let's be honest I love to take picture of myself and always have.

I can be a little silly at times too.

Jacob making me happy and smiling. I have to document everything.

He is kinda silly and requested this picture.

I told you I was bored.  Since I have started working out I have become kinda vain and really love my legs. I think they look muscular.

I am super strong. LOL!!!

Loving the trees. Reminds me of home.

My hubby and I.  We stopped at a lookout point.  The mountains were beautiful.

Jacob at the upper falls.

My hubby and I looking cute as can be.

There was still some snow where they did not get enough sun.

Leave it to me to make a funny face.  This is the lower part of the upper falls.

We decided to make a date night into a workout.  We decided to run down and up all of the stairs we came to.  It was a way better workout then we thought.

A view of the right side of the stairs.  The left side that we came down is pretty much identical.

I love me some Idaho clouds.  I took this picture out the window.  I faced the camera up and hoped for a good picture.

I really am not vain but I really love this picture.  I am happy with the life changes we have been making and I am loving living a healthy life.  This is at the lower falls.

My strong man.

.Jacob wanted me to show how high up he was.  Funny thing is the picture really does not show the cliff.

We raced up this path from the lower falls.  It was so nice to run instead of walk.

On the way hoe we saw this farm machine.  We have no idea what it is but our car probably would have fit under it.  I just thought it was funny how big it is.
Jacob and I were talking on the way home about how we like our new frame of mind.  Normally we would have barely made it up the stairs but today we ran up it, tired but we did it.  I love the changes we have made and can't wait to see what our new life will bring us.

Date to the temple and the river!!!

Since we just moved into a new place (which costs a lot of $) and we got a new car (which also costs tons of $)  we really have no money for the extras in life.  So we decided since we had a tank full of gas and a night off together we would drive to Idaho Falls and go to the visitors center at the temple and then walk around the river.  It was such a nice day and a wonderful drive together.

Jacob was really interested in the family search center in the visitors center.  He was looking up some family on his Mom's side. I made him leave because I didn't want to be driving home in the dark but we will have to go back before to long.

The Christus.  They have some benches right in front of it and they play a recording just like they do in the Salt Lake Visitors Center.

This area was all about "I am a Mormon".  I would love for my house to look like this.   I was very impressed by how all of the areas looked so different but were so cool.

Jacob and I in front of the temple.  We walked around it and then headed to the river, which is across the street.

So Beautiful

I didn't want to walk far because I had already done my 7 mile walk for the day and so my legs were a little tired.  We walked to a new area of the river we had never been to so it was fun to look around.

Just a bridge across the river but I thought that it looked really pretty.

Just me!!!  I love the shirt I am wearing and it is the first time it fit me.  Nicole gave it to me when I was in Eugene in July.  Now that I have lost almost 30 pounds it fits so good.

They are building a Japanese garden.  I can't wait it looks like it is going to be so cool.  When they are finished we will go and take some pictures.

I sure do LOVE this man!!!!! <3

We decided to walk complete around the path which was three miles.  I saw this on the path and knew it was meant for me (lol) because after my 7 miles earlier in the day and then 3 miles with Jacob my legs were so sore and I was exhausted.

On our way back and almost to the car.  I love that we can so something simple like go on a walk and have so much fun doing it together.
